Welcome to the website of Hayes Chiropractic. For your convenience we have four office locations in Lodi, 2 offices in Stockton, and in Galt. Our mission is to provide excellence in patient care through a collaboration with our patients. We pride ourselves on a reliance on evidence-based care, meaning we try to provide recommendations and treatment based on the best available scientific evidence.

We recognize that you have choices in health care, and need reliable information on which to make your healthcare decisions.  We’ll do our best to provide you with choices, facts and alternatives.  We also make this pledge to you: if we think we can help you, we’ll tell you; if not, we’ll help you find someone who can.

Chiropractic care is more than just manipulation or “adjustments” of the spine.  Our care includes a thorough evaluation of your history and physical condition, an explanation of our findings and appropriate treatment options. We use a number of conservative methods to speed recovery, including various forms of manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, as well as exercise and nutritional advice.

You are the reason we exist, and you will find our office provides caring, competent and experienced service. We use up-to-date, science-based care with no gimmicks, no long-term contracts and no pressure. We invite you to experience 21st century chiropractic in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We hope you enjoy the information on our website and invite you to share it with others, and we welcome your questions. We hope to see you soon!

To better understand your health history and current issues, we’ll need you to complete some paperwork. Please plan to come in about 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

Our first goal is to put you at ease! The doctor will meet with your to discuss your concerns and the issues which brought you to our office.  In order to determine what your actual problem is, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition and your health history. We will then perform a physical examination related to your complaints. These may include orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic tests, as well as general physical examination techniques. This will help us arrive at an accurate diagnosis.

Current research reveals that x-rays are not routinely required.  However, the doctor will determine whether x-rays are appropriate based on your history and physical examination findings.

Once we have established a working diagnosis, we’ll discuss it with you, including your other treatment options.  If we think we can help you, we’ll tell you how, which may include spinal manipulations, physiotherapy, soft tissue techniques, exercises, or other conservative treatments.  If it looks like you’d be better served by a different kind of provider, we’ll tell you and help you find the right one.

We will provide you with appropriate initial treatment on your first visit.

We work closely with a variety of medical specialists and frequently receive referrals from them.   If we believe your condition requires medical treatment instead of or in addition to chiropractic care, we will be happy to make the referral.  We will also be happy to coordinate care with your medical provider.

We will help you to help yourself by providing you with recommendations for home care.  This might include whether to use ice or heat, stretches or exercises, and instructions regarding work restrictions and activities to avoid which might aggravate your condition.

Generally, patients are scheduled for a follow-up visit within a day or two to assess response to the initial care, review our findings and discuss treatment options and an appropriate plan of care.  Treatment recommendations are based on history, clinical findings, our experience, and the best available scientific evidence. As always, if we think we can help, we’ll tell you. If we don’t think we can help, we’ll do our best to help you find someone who can!
